No, that's not what your doing right now at all! :o)
However, I have Kurt to thank for my web time going WAY up over the last month. At Vaughn's birthday party he shared two new websites with me. Like he did with me, I have to share my new addictions with you!
The sites are:
www.centsports.com & www.centpker.com
If you want to know a ton more, read their FAQs like I did. What I do know is that they do not accept deposits in any way, shape, or form. It's a free way to enjoy either some sports speculating or some card playing.
If you join either, look me up, the name is T Bird on both sites.
Enjoy!

Shout Out to Friends

It really goes without saying, but just because I haven't for a while, I want to call come attention to the Saucier family's blog. Their addition of Taylor has only given Liz more reason to take AMAZING pictures. Check it out to see pictures of the kiddos, their activities, and Chris' 30th (man, he got old! :o) )
Secondly, Our very own Maria is now a famous local entrepreneur. Robin & I were at her mom's on Saturday, but to talk to Maria on Saturday afternoon and hear the excitment streaming out of her as she talked about her grand opening that day energized me 150 miles away! We couldn't be happier for her.
This picture was in our local paper on Saturday to announce the grand opening:

Well, effectively so anyway. The last week of 4th, 1st, and KG are not high stress environments.
Part of the end of the year at Hoose is a Picnic for each grade. I was very touched when Jillian gave me a special invite to her picnic. I slipped away from work for the chance to push a merry-go-round, swing, and tire swing through the mid-day. What a great break from work!!

One other note, CONGRATS to Chris & Liz on the updated version of their blog from it's old home, & Austin Makes Four, to the new and improved site, & Then There Were Five. Check out both for some amazing pictures of their new addition - Taylor.

21st Century Pooch...

Peanut has been begging and begging, so finally today, we got his Facebook page set up. No, not mine - Peanut's! It's called Dogbook and a function of Facebook. I had to join, so you can find me there too, but as of now, only Peanut's page has any content.

Accent Test
Guess I can claim Texas as home, but the world (and a ten question web quiz) will always see right through it:
| What American accent do you have? Your Result: North Central "North Central" is what professional linguists call the Minnesota accent. If you saw "Fargo" you probably didn't think the characters sounded very out of the ordinary. Outsiders probably mistake you for a Canadian a lot. | |
| The Midland | |
| The West | |
| Boston | |
| Philadelphia | |
| The South | |
| The Inland North | |

Bud Light's "Real Men of Genius" & "Real American Hero"
I've heard a few of these ads on the radio, but I have to give Kurt credit for sending out this link. There's literally pages of these things here, and, much like a chip, I bet you can't listen to just one!
Enjoy!
